When to use Extend Grace Period
Extend Grace Period is an Action used to accord a number of days to a subscriber who might be behind in payments before disconnecting them or to reactivate their Subscription if it has already been disconnected.
The following applies to a Subscription in Grace:
- Normal Subscriptions are:
- Included in the Normal Billing Run and billed normally
- Not included in any Disconnection process
- Prepaid Subscriptions are:
- Included in the Prepaid Billing Run and billed normally
- Not included in any Disconnection process
The Grace Period can be used:
- After Deactivation
Subscribers can call in after being deactivated and request that their Subscription is reactivated for a specific number of days until their payment clears out and the amount for which they were disconnected is settled.
If the amount is not settled by the time the Grace Period ends, the SubscriptionServicesare deactivated again. - Before Deactivation
Subscribers can call in before being deactivated and request that their Subscription is excluded from the Disconnection Run for a specific number of days until their payment clears out and the amount for which they could be disconnected is settled.
If the amount is not settled by the time the Grace Period ends, the Subscription Services are deactivated.
