What is Warranty Policy Printout?

Warranty Policy Printouts display detailed information of a Traceable Physical Good's Warranty Policy coverage in terms of duration and coverage reasoning. 
he printout is available through the Installed Items Data Entry page and can be extracted and printed in one of the formats below:

  1. PDF
  2. HTML
  3. XLS
  4. CSV
  5. RTF
     

Unlike other Printouts, the Warranty Policy Printout is not available for sending by email.

  • Security Network restrictions are applicable (i.e. only records that can be accessed by the logged-in user are retrieved) as explained in Understanding Network Entity Types.
  • If the selected Installed Item is not covered by a warranty then no information will be displayed in the Printout.

Header Information of Warranty Policy Printout

The following information can be found at the top of the printout.

DurationThe Warranty Policy's duration (value and UOT).
Replacement Under Coverage PolicyThe Warranty Policy's Replacement Under Coverage Policy.
DescriptionThe Warranty Policy's description.

Detailed Information of Warranty Policy Printout

The following information is provided within the Printout. If the Printout has multiple records, the information will be available for every record separately.

Warranty Policy Coverage Details

NameDescription
Serial NumberThe Traceable Physical Good's serial number.
Product

The Traceable Physical Good's Product.

TypeThe Traceable Physical Good's Product Type.
BrandThe Traceable Physical Good's Product Brand.
FamilyThe Traceable Physical Good's Product Family.
Issue DateThe Traceable Physical Good's Warehouse issue date.
Expiration Date

The Traceable Physical Good's warranty expiration date, calculated as follows:

  • If the Installed Item does not have a remaining warranty period then the expiration date is calculated as the Warehouse Transaction issue date plus the Warranty Policy duration.
  • If the Installed Item has a remaining warranty period (transferred from another Installed Item, e.g. through a Swap Action) then the expiration date is calculated as the Warehouse Transaction date plus Installed Item's remaining warranty coverage period.
