Navigating to Industry Sectors
CONFIGURATION > CRM APPLICATION > CONTACT INFORMATION > SET UP INDUSTRY SECTORS
What are Industry Sectors?
Industry Sectors are used to define a number of large segments of the economy that share a similar business type. Industry sectors have a flat structure and can be used as Contact Information for both Companies and Persons.
- Navigate to Industry Sectors and explore existing records via the Summary page.
- Click on the link (Name or Number) of any record to enter the Data Entry page and see more detail.
- Use the Actions Menu to create a NEW Industry Sectors, EDIT or DELETE an existing one.
- Use BACK to return to the summary page and CANCEL to revert from unwanted changes made to the Industry Sectors.

An * indicates a field is mandatory.
Name | Description |
|---|---|
Name* | The name of the Industry Sector. |
Description | The description of the Industry Sector. |
Alternative Code* | An alternative unique code of the Industry Sector. Unless otherwise specified, the codes for new Industry Sectors default to the sector's Name initials in capital letters. |
Log Information | The standard set of Log Details information available in all entities. |
