When to use Cancel Binding Period

Use Cancel Binding Period Classification to cancel any current customer contracts. 
Subscriptions may be created with or without a contract. When the Subscription is without a contract the subscriber is not bound by any agreement.

Cancel Binding Period
  • The Action is not allowed if another scheduled Amend Billing Terms Action exists. The user is allowed to schedule the cancellation only after the scheduled Action.
  • The Action is available only if the Subscription is in one of the following Life Cycle States:
    • Draft
    • Effective
    • Not Effective
    • In Resting
  • Agreement Date: The date on which the subscriber cancelled their contract.
  • A new Billing Term instance with no Binding Terms, which replicates the previous one is created and activated.
  • The existing Billing Term is replaced and set it to 'Inactive'.
