Using Award Expiration Transactions

Award Expiration Transactions are used to expire an awarded amount given to a Rewards participant, by debiting the participant's Wallet. The expiration date is derived from the Reward Award Validity period which defines the period during which Awards can be spent. Once expired, the amount can no longer be used, as it is deducted from the participant's Wallet by a Debit Wallet Transaction.Award Expiration Transactions cannot be manually created. They can be generated by:

  • The execution of the Award Expiration Run Definitions. APPLICABLE UP TO CRM.COM R9.0.0
  • The execution of the Wallet Balance Expiration Run Definitions if the Credit Transaction that is expired is related to an Award Transaction. AVAILABLE FROM CRM.COM R10.0.0
  • Navigate to Award Expiration Transactions and explore existing records via the Summary page
  • Click on the link (name or number) of the record of your interest to enter the Data Entry page and see more detail. 
  • Use BACK to return to the Summary page
  • Click on ACTIONS to discover other possibilities available for Award Expiration Transactions.

  • If the "On Cancelling Award Expiration Transactions" Cause, in the Active Wallet Definition's Causes Voiding Wallet Transactions is 'Enabled' then, all Debit Wallet Transactions related to the Award Expiration Transaction will be voided as well.

Cancelling Award Expiration Transactions

  1. Navigate AWARD EXPIRATION TRANSACTIONS
  2. Search for the Award Expiration Transaction
  3. Click on the number/name of the record you would like to access, to go to the Data Entry page
  4. From the Action Menu click on ACTIONS > CANCEL AWARD EXPIRATION TRANSACTION
