Navigating to Usage Service Catalogs
BILLING > USAGE SERVICE CATALOGS > MANAGE USAGE SERVICE CATALOGS
Using Usage ServiceCatalogs
Use Usage Service Catalogs to create Catalogs of Usage Services offered by each Provisioning Provider, including their billing rates. These Services are made available for selection through Add Service Usage Subscription Action.
- Navigate to Usage Service Catalogs and explore existing entries via the Summary page.
- Click on the link (Name or Number) of the record of your interest to enter the Data Entry page and see more detail.
- Use the Actions Menu to create a NEW Usage Service Catalog, modify (EDIT) or DELETE an existing one.
- Use BACK to return to the Summary page and CANCEL to revert any unwanted changes made to the Usage Service Catalog.
- Click on ACTIONS to discover other possibilities available for Usage Service Catalogs.
- Click on the Audit Log button to view a log of changes performed on the displayed Usage Service Catalog.

Main Information | |
Name* | The name of the Usage Service Catalog |
Alternative Code* | The alternative code of the Usage Service Catalog. If not specified then it is generated automatically on saving the Usage Service Catalog. |
Provisioning Provider | The provider that will be used to supply the Usage Services included in the Usage Service Catalog. The provisioning provider is automatically set to the default provider specified in the 'Active' Usage Service Catalog Definition.

Life Cycle State | The Life Cycle State of the Usage Service Catalog. The supported states are the following:

Validity* Validity determines the (non-overlapping) time periods during which the Usage Service Catalog is available. | |

Usage Services* Defines the Usage Services offered through the specific Catalog, their rates, usage conditions, and the validity period of each Usage Service. Multiple Usage Services can be specified, but each Service can be included only once. | |
Usage Service* | The Service which is available through the specific Usage Service Catalog.

Pre-Rated AVAILABLE FROM CRM.COM R12.0.0 | If checked then UDRs submitted for the specific Usage Service will be processed as Pre-Rated, in which case the amount used to bill the UDR will be defined when the UDR is imported in CRM.COM through the WEB API, thus the 'Base Rate' and 'Tiered Rates' fields will not be available to be set. If the Usage Service Typeis set as Pre-Rated through the Active Usage Service Catalogs Definitions, then it will automatically be enabled on Usage Service Catalogs as well. |
Base Rate* | The Base Rate of the specified Usage Service. The Base Rate is applied if no Tiered Rates are defined or if Tiered Rates are defined but not fulfilled. AVAILABLE FROM CRM.COM R12.0.0 Not available if Pre-Rated setting is checked |
Provisioning ID | The ID that will be used to provision the specified Usage Service. This information is applicable and mandatory if the specified Usage Service is classified as a Provisioning Service. This information is kept on the provisioning provider and not on the Usage Service Catalog. |
Start Date / Time | The date and time during which the provisioning of the Usage Service will start. |
End Date / Time | The date and time during which the provisioning of the Usage Service will end. |
Tiered Rates | Tiered Rates are used to provide conditional rates which are different than the specified Base Rate. Multiple rates can be specified but the specified conditions should not overlap. At least one condition should be specified if a rate is specified. Tiered Rates consist of the following:

Subscription Conditions Defines conditions related with Subscriptions that should be fulfilled for the Usage Service Catalog to be available for selection. The conditions are evaluated only when adding Usage Service Catalog Services on a Subscription and not during Billing. Multiple conditions can be specified. Multiple rows can be added in each Condition section. For example, in Subscription Type conditions three Subscription Types can be added. At least one of the conditions should be fulfilled for the Usage Service Catalog to be available. If conditions are added in multiple sections, e.g. an Account Classification and Subscription Type, then both conditions must be met

Types | The type of the Subscription. |
Billing Term Schemes | The Billing Term Scheme of the Subscription. |
Price Plans | The Price Plan of the Subscription. |
Termed Subscription Services | The termed Services belonging to the Subscription. Termed Services or Termed Service Types can be defined. |
Accounts Receivable Conditions Defines conditions related with Accounts Receivable that should be fulfilled for the Usage Service Catalog to be available for selection. The conditions are evaluated only when adding Usage Service Catalog Services on a Subscription and not during Billing. Multiple conditions can be specified. Multiple rows can be added in each Condition section. For example, in Subscription Type conditions three Subscription Types can be added. At least one of the conditions should be fulfilled for the Usage Service Catalog to be available. If conditions are added in multiple sections, e.g. an Account Classification and Subscription Type, then both conditions must be met. | |

Additional actions for Usage Service Catalogs
Cancelling Usage Service Catalogs
A Usage Service Catalog can be cancelled. When a Catalog is cancelled, its Usage Services are no longer available for selection.
- Navigate to MANAGE USAGE SERVICE CATALOGS.
- Search for the Usage Service Catalog that to be cancelled and click on the Number/Name of the Catalog to go to the Data Entry page.
- From the Actions Menu click on ACTIONS > CANCEL.
Changing a Usage Service Catalog's Life Cycle State
The Life Cycle State of a Catalog can be altered from 'Effective' to 'Not Effective' and vice versa, to control when Usage Services from the specific Catalog are available for selection. 'Effective' Usage ServiceCatalogsare available to subscribers, while 'Not Effective' and 'Draft'Catalogsare not.
- Navigate to MANAGE USAGE SERVICE CATALOGS
- Search for the Usage Service Catalog that to be updated and click on the Number/Name of theCatalogto go to the Data Entry page.
- From the Actions Menu click on ACTIONS > SET AS NOT EFFECTIVE (if the current Life Cycle State is 'Effective').
or ACTIONS > SET AS EFFECTIVE (if the current Life Cycle State is 'Draft' or 'Not Effective').
