Managing Subscriptions through Jobs

CRM.COM allows you to order Jobs to fulfil tasks related with subscription maintenance through the following type of Jobs:

Creating & Saving, Validations & Restrictions

The following table includes validations, restrictions and filtering applicable to all Job Types of type: Managing Subscriptions. For additional validation of each Subscription/Job Type check the Validations table in the respective manual.

  • The following job information cannot be specified while the Job is Draft or Pending:

  • The following job information cannot be specified at all if the Job type fulfilment type is Activate Subscription, Deactivate Subscription, Cancel Subscription:

    • Subscription Terms
    • Requested Subscription Type
    • Requested Billing Terms
    • Requested Subscription Physical Goods
    • Requested Subscription Services
  • Common Behaviour
    • Contact & Account Information: 
      • Only existing customers and accounts receivable can be specified for this type of jobs
    • Job Terms: 
      • The billing term schemes that can be selected are filtered based on the allowed billing term schemes which are specified on the job type
      • The price plans that can be selected are filtered based on the selected billing term scheme
    • Requested Physical Goods:
      • The traceable and not traceable physical goods that can be selected are filtered based on the list of allowed physical goods which is specified on the type of the job. 
      • Only products can be added (and not installed items). 
      • Those products are not validated against warehouse availability and their addition on the job as requested physical goods is not triggering any warehouse transactions. 
      • The physical goods which are classified as mandatory, through the allowed physical goods list, are added in the requested physical goods list automatically and cannot be removed or modified
    • Requested Expenses:
      • The list of expenses is generated automatically and the user has the option to select those that should be applied
      • The expenses (products which are classified as one time services) that can be selected are filtered based on the list of allowed expenses which is specified on the type of the job. 
      • The expenses which are classified as mandatory, through the allowed expenses list, are selected automatically and cannot be removed or modified
    • Requested Activity Services:
      • The list of activity services is generated automatically and the user has the option to select those that should be applied
      • Each row consist of the activity type and the service that should be provided, grouped by the activity type
      • The activity types that can be selected are filtered based on the list of allowed activity type which is specified on the type of the job. 
      • The activity services that can be selected for each activity type are filtered based on the list of allowed services which is specified on the type of the activity
      • The activity types which are classified as mandatory, through the allowed activity type list, are selected automatically and cannot be removed or modified
      • For each activity type which is selected either manually or automatically
        • The activity services which are classified as mandatory through the allowed services lists, are selected automatically and cannot be removed or modified
        • The activities are not created, until the job moves into the in progress life cycle state

  • Requested Subscription has been specified
  • The following information defined as mandatory at the job's type settings need to be added to successfully save the Job
    • Subscription Physical Goods / Services
    • Expenses/ Activity types
  • Not Applicable
