What is the Contact Information Address State

Accessing Historic address data might be necessary sometimes. Addresses can be in either of two states: 'Active' or 'Inactive'. Validations are always applied on 'Active' records.

If a customer requests a change of address, the system provides you with the option to save the previous address for future reference by changing its status to 'Inactive'. If you have an 'Inactive' Business Address you are allowed to create a new 'Active' address. If you already have an 'Active' Business Address you cannot create a second ('Active') one.

Turning an Address to 'Inactive' is an action available to all users. Users also have the option to view 'Inactive' records.
