Navigating to Buy In Advance Definitions

 CONFIGURATION > BILLING APPLICATION > BUY IN ADVANCE > SET UP BUSINESS DEFINITIONS

What are Buy In Advance Definitions?

Buy In Advance Definitions are used to determine the duration for which Buy In Advance Requests can be submitted while conditions can be defined for each period. 

Buy In Advance definitions can be edited, deleted and have their Life Cycle State changed given that Validations & Restrictions are met.

  • Navigate to Buy In Advance Definitions and explore existing records via the Summary page. 

  • Click on the link (name or number) of the record of your interest to access the Data Entry page and see more detail, or submit the Definition. 

  • Use the Actions Menu to create a NEW Definition, modify (EDIT), or DELETE an existing one.  

  • Use BACK to return to the Summary page and CANCEL to revert any unwanted changes made to the Definition.

Main Information
NumberAn auto-generated number that uniquely identifies the Buy In Advance Definitions
Name*The name of the Buy In Advance Definition
Alternative codeAn alternative code for the Buy In Advance Definition. Unless otherwise specified, the codes for new Definitions default to the Definition's Name initials in capital letters.
DescriptionA description of the Definition
StateThe state of the Definition which can be 'Active' or 'Inactive'. Only one 'Active' Definition can exist at a time.
Request Settings
Define settings related with the Buy In Advance Requests that can be submitted
Allowed Duration*

Defines a set of duration ranges for submitting Buy In Advance Requests. Multiple ranges can be specified. Each duration range consists of:

  • From: The range start
  • To: The range end
  • UOT: The unit of time used to measure the time range (days, weeks, months or years)
  • Conditions: The conditions that should be met for the specified duration range to be applicable. Multiple conditions can be specified. Conditions consist of a subscription Type for which a Buy In Advance Request can be submitted

Log InformationThe standard set of Log Details information available in all entities
