Applied Warranty Policies

Warranty Policies can only be applied via Jobs but can be viewed with the Installed Items from three screens:

  • Jobs
    • Available as an Advanced filter in Summary page
    • Available from the Data Entry pages in the Requested Physical Goods section (if applicable)
  • Service Requests 
    • Available as an Advanced filter in Summary page
    • Available from the Data Entry pages in the Affected Physical Goods section (if applicable)
  • Installed Items
    • Available as an Advanced  filter in Summary page
    • Available from the Data Entry pages in the Warranty Policy section (if applicable)

Warranty Policy Related Fields in Jobs

The information is only available for Swap Subscription Installed Item Jobs from Physical Goods > Requested Subscription Physical Goods Tab.

SWAP INSTALLED ITEM JOB - WARRANTY POLICY

Field name
Description
Warranty PolicyThe related Warranty Policy's name (link).
Warranty Expiration DateThe date on which the item's Warranty expires.
Coverage Reason*The Coverage Reason.
CoveredWhether or not the item is covered by the Warranty.

The information is available from Physical Goods > Affected Physical Goods Tab 

SERVICE REQUEST - WARRANTY POLICY

Field name
Description
Warranty PolicyThe related Warranty Policy's name (link).
Warranty expiration dateThe date on which the item's Warranty expires.
Coverage Reason*The Coverage Reason.
CoveredWhether or not the item is covered by the Warranty.

 

Viewing Warranties via Installed Items

WARRANTY APPLIED TO INSTALLED ITEMS

Warranty Policy Related Fields in Installed Items

The information is available from the Warranty Policy Tab provided the Installed Item has a Warranty Policy; even if this Warranty has expired.

Field name
Description
Warranty PolicyThe related Warranty Policy's name (link).
Warranty expiration dateThe date on which the item's Warranty expires.
Warehouse issue dateThe stock out Warehouse transaction date which was used to apply the Installed Item's Warranty,

Additional information is available, via the Swap Subscription Installed Item Job, for items that have been replaced with a new Installed Item and have been either returned to a Warehouse after replacement or kept by the customer.

Description
Coverage ReasonThe Coverage Reason that was defined when the Installed Item was replaced through a Job.
Warranty PolicyThe Policy based on which the item was replaced.
