When to use Move Installed Items Between Subscriptions

Use Move Installed Items Between Subscriptions to move Installed Items between Subscriptions owned by the same Accounts Receivable.

View the Information Table below for information related to the Scheduling, Preview Rating and Classification of the Subscription Action.  Check the Validations & Restrictions Table for a list of available Actions, including each Action's related validations, restrictions and a description of its system process.
View 'Using Subscription Action Modal' available in Managing Subscriptions for more information on executing the Action.

  • New Subscription No.: The Target Subscription that belongs to the same account.
  • New Distributors: The distributor that the Installed Item will be distributed by, on the Target Subscription.
    • Use ENABLE and DISABLE to add an item to or remove the item from a Distributor.

Move Installed Items Between Subscriptions
  • Both source and target Subscriptions belong to the same Accounts Receivable owner.
  • The target Subscription is owned by an 'Active' Accounts Receivable.
  • If the Source Subscription is 'Effective' then:
      • 'Active' Subscription Definition Rules are observed.
        • The restrictions and dependencies set by the Subscription Service and each of its Distributors are observed.
  • For the target Subscription
    • Subscription Type Rules are observed.
      • The Subscription Installed Items are included in the Subscription Type's allowed Subscription Installed Items.
      • The Subscription Provisioning Distributors are included in the Subscription Type's allowed Provisioning Distributors.
    • If the Subscription is already 'Effective' 
      • Active Subscription Definition rules are observed.
        • The restrictions and dependencies set by the Subscription Installed Item and each of its Distributors are observed. 
           
  • The 'Action' is available only if the Source Subscription is in one of the following Life Cycle States:
    • Draft
    • Effective
    • Not Effective
    • In Resting
    • Regretted
    • Cancelled
    • Short Term Effective
    • Short Term Not Effective
  • The Action is not available if:
    • There are no other Subscriptions related to the same account.
    • There are no available Installed Items on the Subscription.
  • The specified Installed Item is removed from the source Subscription.
  • The distribution of the specified Installed Item and its related Provisioning Distributors are removed from the source Subscription.
  • The specified Installed Item is added to the target Subscription.
  • Related Provisioning Distributors are added to the target Subscription if not already present.
  • The specified Installed Item is distributed to its related Provisioning Distributor on the target Subscription.
  • The Installed Item History is updated by specifying the source Subscription and the Subscription to which the Installed Item is moved.
