When to use Terminate Subscription
Terminate Subscription can either be used in order to cancel or regret a subscription and all of its services that are not already regretted or cancelled. This manual provides information about Regretting a Subscription.
Regret Subscription action is used when a subscriber wishes to regret his subscription. Usually this is only allowed for a certain number of days after the subscription has been created in the system.

Executing Terminate Subscription
- Navigate to BILLING APPLICATION > BILLING > SUBSCRIPTIONS > MANAGE SUBSCRIPTIONS
- Search for the Subscription you are looking for, using the criteria section
- Click on the Subscription number to go to the Data Entry page of the subscription
- On the left hand side of the screen you can see the ACTION PANEL
- Click on Subscription Related Actions to expand
- Find the action you would like to execute and click on the link to open the action details in a modal window

EXISTING SUBSCRIPTION SERVICES
Provides an overview of the existing subscription services
EXISTING SUBSCRIPTION INSTALLED ITEMS
Provides an overview of the existing subscription installed items
UNSETTLED BILLS
- Provides an overview of any Bills related to the subscription and have not yet been settled
SUBSCRIPTION ACTION DETAILS
Classifications: Select REGRET SUBSCRIPTION Classification,
This is the business classification code for actions that for the same behavior code have multiple business classification- Action Type: Select action type from the drop down if you have configured custom actions in the system, using the specific behaviour code
- Sub Action Type: Select action type from the drop down if you have configured custom actions in the system, using the specific business classification code
Classification, Action Type and Sub Action type are visible only if applicable - Performed By User : Search and add the user that logs the action
If you leave empty then the Logged in user will be set Performed Date: Click on the calendar icon and select date and time
SCHEDULING INFORMATION
- NOW: Select Now to execute the action immediately
- ON A SPECIFIC DATE
- Click on the calendar icon and select a date
- Use the time scroller and select time or leave as is to set at midnight
Click on DONE
The date field is mandatory and the date must be greater than the current date
- AFTER A NO. OF DAYS
Enter the value of days based on your business requirements. For example, add 7 days
The number field is mandatory and the specified value must be an integer and greater than 0.
- Click on "SUBMIT"
Action will be validated as provided in the section below and submitted if validations are passed
System Processing
Once the action is submitted the following changes will be carried out by the system:
- Removes the specified subscription services
- Removes the distribution of the specified subscription services and their related provisioning distributors
- Removes provisioning distributors if there are no other subscription services or installed items distributed on them
Sets the subscription services which are not cancelled or regretted to state Regretted
Sets the subscription life cycle state to Regretted
Billable period start date and billing effective date based on billing term scheme
- Binding end and allowed cancel date extension based on billing term scheme
- Any scheduled actions, scheduled for after the cancellation are deleted
