What is Wallet Balance Calculation?
A Wallet is an account which holds an amount of money that is used to fund transactions. Even though a wallet is within an accounts receivable the transactions and balance of the accounts receivable does not necessarily match the wallet transactions and wallet balance. Wallets have their own Wallet and Wallet Allotment balance.
Both amounts are calculated dynamically based on the wallet transactions and wallet transaction allotments accordingly
How is Wallet Balance calculated?
The wallet balance is calculated based on the formula described below:
Formula for balance calculation
Balance = (credit WT amounts + voided debit WT amounts + voided reimburse WT amounts) - ( debit WT amounts + reimburse WT amounts + voided credit WT amounts)
WT = Wallet Transaction
Example
- Credit Invoice 1: 100
- Credit Invoice 2: 200
- Debit Invoice 1: 50
- Debit Invoice 2: 150
- Reimburse Invoice 1: 30
- Reimburse Invoice 2: 40
- Void Credit Invoice 1: (100) ( Cancelled Credit Invoice)
- Void Debit Invoice 1: (50) (Cancelled Debit Invoice)
- Void Reimburse Invoice 1: (30) (Cancelled Reimburse Invoice)
BALANCE = (100 + 200 + 50 +30) - (50 + 150 + 30 + 40 +100) = 380-370 = 10
How is Wallet Allotment Balance calculated?
The wallet allotment balance is calculated for each product included in a wallet transaction allotment, based on the formula described below:
Formula for allotment balance calculation
Balance = (credit WTA amounts + voided debit WTA amounts + voided reimburse WTA amounts) - ( debit WTA amounts + reimburse WTAamounts + voided credit WTA amounts)
WTA = Wallet Transaction Allotment (related with a specific product)

- Kids HD: 40
- Credit Invoice 2: 200
- Sports HD: 120
- Kids HD: 80
- Debit Invoice 1: 50

- Debit Invoice 2: 150
- Sports HD: 90
- Kids HD: 60
- Reimburse Invoice 1: 30
- Sports HD: 18
- Kids HD: 12
- Reimburse Invoice 2: 40

(Sports HD) BALANCE = (60+ 120 + 30 + 18) - (30 + 90 + 18 + 24 + 60) = 228 - 222 = 6
(Kids HD) BALANCE = (40 + 80 + 20 + 12) - (20 + 60 + 12 + 16 + 40) = 152 - 148 = 4
