What is Contact Information Uniqueness Rule

Uniqueness Rule allows you to define the contact information attributes that should be unique within CRM.COM. If more than one attributes are defined, then the combination of the fields must be unique within the system.

Uniqueness Rule is defined in the Contact Information Definition

Contact Person Validations

There are 5 available fields that may be used for creating an Information Uniqueness Rule for Contact persons

  1. Name
  2. Social Sec. No.
  3. ID No.
  4. Passport No.
  5. Unit

 You can create various combinations using these fields. Below are some examples of Rules you could set up

  1. Option A: If Contact Name, Social Security No., ID No. are specified then no other contact information should exist with the same Contact Name, Social Security No., ID No values
  2. Option B: If only Contact Name, Social Security No., are specified then no other contact information should exist with the same Contact Name, Social Security No. values
  3. Option C: If only Contact Name is specified then no other contact information should exist with the same Contact Name value
  4. Option D: If only Contact Name, ID No. are specified then no other contact information should exist with the same Contact Name, ID No. values

Contact Company Validations

There are 2 available fields that may be used for creating an Information Uniqueness Rule for Contact Companies

You can create 3 combinations using these fields. Below are some examples of Rules you could set up

  1. Option A: If Name and VAT Reg No are specified then no other contact information should exist with the same Company name and VAT Reg No
  2. Option B: If only Name is specified then no other contact information should exist with the same Name.
  3. Option C: If only VAT Reg No is specified then no other contact information should exist with the same VAT Reg No.
