What does this section cover?When to use Add Draft Services
Subscription services are added as draft when you would like to add the services but activate them at a later stage. If you would like to add services and directly activate them, Services whose activation must be done at a later stage should be added as 'Draft'. Services that should be activated directly (i.e. set them as effective, those ready to be billed, then these services should ) should be added as effective. Visit /wiki/spaces/V3Manuals/pages/1408273 to see how you can add effective services.'Effective', using the Add Service as Effective Action.

You have the option to preview upcoming subscriber bills/rates, directly from the subscription action modal window. You can use the process for both Normal and Prepaid Subscriptions.

Check the Validations & Restrictions Table for a list of available Actions, including each Action's related validations, restrictions and a description of its system process.

Add Draft Services Restrictions & Validations
Sub Action Type: Select action type from the drop down if you have configured custom actions in the system, using the specific business classification code
Action Type and Sub Action type are visible only if applicablePerformed By User : Search and add the user that logs the action
If you leave empty then the Logged in user will be setPerformed Date: Click on the calendar icon and select date and time

- Specified subscription services are added
- Related provisioning distributors, if they do not already exists are added
- The specified subscription services are distributed to their related provisioning distributors
- The service is added, by setting the subscription life cycle state to draft
- Sets the subscription service bill effective date and billable start period according to the business rules
- A “Draft” subscription service life cycle state history is set
- Sets the subscription service bill effective date, billable start period and billing directive according to the business rules
- If installed items are specified then
- Specified installed items are added
- Related provisioning distributors, if they do not already exists are added
- The specified installed items are distributed to their related provisioning distributors
- Installed Item are removed from warehouse using a stock out warehouse transaction
- Installed item history is updated

- The subscription services are included in the subscription type allowed services
- The subscription provisioning distributors are included in the subscription type allowed provisioning distributors
- The subscription installed items are included in the subscription type allowed subscription installed items
- The rules defined in the related billing term scheme are not violated
- The subscription services that will be added are within the supported services
- The installed items If any of the following Actions are scheduled, a new Subscription Service cannot be added before the scheduled date:
- Activate
- Deactivate
- Short term deactivation
- Terminate
- Rest
| - Only Services, Provisioning Distributors and Physical Goods allowed by the Subscription Type and Prepaid or Normal Billing Term Scheme are available for selection.
- Services and Physical Goods are further filtered by the selected Provisioning Distributor.
- Installed Items are available to be used as

Navigate to BILLING APPLICATION > BILLING > SUBSCRIPTIONS > MANAGE SUBSCRIPTIONSSearch for the Subscription you are looking for, using the criteria sectionClick on the Subscription number to go to the Data Entry page of the subscriptionOn the left hand side of the screen you can see the ACTION PANELClick on Subscription Service Related ActionsFind the action you would like to execute and click on the link to open the action details in a modal window

SUBSCRIPTION ACTION DETAILS
Action Type: Select action type from the drop down if you have configured custom actions in the system, using the specific behaviour code- Specified Subscription Services are added.
- Related Provisioning Distributors are added if not already present.
- Specified Subscription Services are distributed to their related Provisioning Distributors.
- Service Life Cycle State is set to 'Draft'.
- Bill Effective Date and Billable Start Period are set according to the business rules.
- If Installed Items are specified, then:
- Installed Items are added
- Related Provisioning Distributors are added if not already present.
- Installed Items are distributed to their related Provisioning Distributors.
- Installed Item is removed from warehouse using a Stock out Warehouse Transaction.
- Installed Item History is updated.
