What does this section cover?

What are Job Types?

Job types define the behavior and the nature of each Job. Via Job Types you can define s as well as who will be allowed to create Jobs of the specific Job type

General
  • Multiple Job types can exist in the system, but each one should have a unique name and alternative code.
 A Job type can be used by users only if they are included in the allowed organisational units.
Create
  • The following must already be configured:
    • Job Statuses
  
Delete
  • Job types cannot be deleted if they are already used by Jobs which are still not completed.
  • Deleted Job types are still visible on Jobs which were created using those types. 
  

Job Types attributes 

 

NameDescription
Name*The name of the Job type
Alternative code*The alternative code of the Job type
DescriptionA description of the Job type
Estimated completion time*The time that is estimated to be spent on Jobs of this type in order to complete it, measured in minutes, hours, days, weeks, months or years. This information is used to automatically set the estimated completion time on each Job of this type
Allowed Statuses*The Job statuses which are allowed to be used in Jobs of this type. At least one status per each Job life cycle state should be specified in this section, except for Temporary Resolved. The default Job status is also specified in this section.
Allowed Categories*The Job categories which are allowed to be used in Jobs of this type. The default Job category is also specified in this section.
Allowed Response Categories*The Job response categories which are allowed to be used in Jobs of this type. A default one should be specified.
Allowed Temporary Resolution Categories

The Job temporary resolution categories which are allowed to be used in Jobs of this type. It is mandatory to select a default one only if status of Temporary Resolved state has been selected in Allowed Statuses.

Allowed Final Resolution Categories*The Job final resolution categories which are allowed to be used in Jobs of this type.A default one should be specified.

Allowed Activity Types

The activity types that are allowed to use on the Job. If nothing is specified then all are included.

Allowed Physical GoodsThe physical goods or physical good types that are allowed to be handled on the Job. If nothing is specified then all are included
Allowed ServicesThe services or service types that are allowed to be handled on the Job. If nothing is specified then all are included.
Allowed Organisational UnitsThe organisational units that can use the specific Job type.

Defining your own Job Types tailored to your company's needs

  1. Navigate to Configuration > CRM Application > Jobs > Set Up Types
  2. Either search for an existing one or from the Top Menu click on NEW
  3. MAIN INFORMATION

    1.  Provide the required information 
      SERVICE REQUESTS TYPES - MAIN INFORMATION

  4. ALLOWED STATUSES & CATEGORIES

    1. STATUSES

      1. Click on ADD and search using the search modal for the status you would like to add. 
      2. Select the status and click on Select
      3. Add at least one status per available Life Cycle State. It is not mandatory to specify a status for the Temporary Resolved life cycle state
      4. Check the box of the status that you would like to set as default. i.e. when a new Job is created
    2. CATEGORIES

      1. Click Find to search for the category based on your needs
        1. A modal window opens with a tree structure of the available categories. 
        2. Click to select the category you need

    3. RESPONSE CATEGORIES

      1. Click Find to search for the category based on your needs
        1. A modal window opens with a tree structure of the available categories. 
        2. Click to select the category you need

    4. TEMPORARY RESOLUTION CATEGORIES

      1. Click Find to search for the category based on your needs
        1. A modal window opens with a tree structure of the available categories. 
        2. Click to select the category you need

      1. Click Find to search for the category based on your needs

        2. Click to select the category you need

  5. ALLOWED PRODUCTS & TYPES

    1. PHYSICAL GOODS

      Click on ADD and search for a physical good or physical good type that are allowed to be added on Jobs of this type. If nothing is specified then all are included
    2. SERVICES

      Click on ADD and search for a service or service type that are allowed to be added on Jobs of this type. If nothing is specified then all are included
    3. ACTIVITY TYPES

      Click on ADD and search for Activity types that are allowed to be scheduled through the Jobs of this type. If nothing is specified then all are included
    4. JOB TYPES

      Click on ADD and search for Job types that are allowed to be planned through the Jobs of this type.
  6. ALLOWED ORGANISATIONAL UNITS

      1. Click on "ADD" and select between
        1. COMMUNITY
        2. GROUP
        3. UNIT
      2. Use the Search modal to select the Organisational unit you would like to add.
      3. You can select any type of Organisational unit according to the restrictions that you would like to set or none at all.

  7. LOG INFORMATION

  8. Unable to render {include} The included page could not be found.
  9. From the Top Menu click on SAVE

Deleting Job Types

  1. Search for the entity that you would like to delete
    Visit  Using Summary Pages   to find out how you can search using CRM.COM Summary Screens
  2. Click on the link of the record you would like to delete, to be transferred to the Data Entry page
  3. From the actions menu click on "DELETE"
     The entity will be deleted given that the validations are satisfied
