What are Coverage Reasons ?
Warranty Coverage Reasons define whether a Warranty Policy can cover a traceable physical good or not, i.e. they provide reasoning on an installed item's replacements which justifies the installed item's coverage by its related Warranty.
Multiple Coverage Reasons can be set up and be related to multiple Warranty Policies.
Allowed Coverage reasons are used when setting up Warranty Policies.
On selecting an installed item which is under warranty (either via Jobs or Service Requests), the system will automatically decide if the item is covered by the warranty or not, based on the selected coverage reason.
If the selected coverage reason is set as one that provides coverage then the item will be covered.

Defining your own Coverage Reasons tailored to your company's needs
- Navigate to FOUNDATION > WARRANTY POLICIES > SET UP WARRANTY COVERAGE REASONS
Either search for an existing one or from the Top Menu click on NEW
MAIN INFORMATION
Name: Provide a name
- Alternative Code: Provide an Alternative Code
- Description: Provide a description
LOG INFORMATION
Log information section keeps all the logging information related to the specific record
- Basic set of information available in all entities
- Created By User: The user that created the entity
- Created By Unit: The unit of the user that created the entity
- Updated By User: The user that last updated the entity
- Updated by Unit: The unit of the user that last updated the entity
- Date Created: The date the account was entity
- Date Updated: The date the account was last entity
- Basic set of information available in all entities
- From the Actions Menu click on SAVE
Deleting Coverage Reasons
- Search for the entity that you would like to delete
Visit Using Summary Pages to find out how you can search using CRM.COM Summary Screens - Click on the link of the record you would like to delete, to be transferred to the Data Entry page
- From the actions menu click on "DELETE"
The entity will be deleted given that the validations are satisfied
