What is Contact Information Uniqueness Rule
Uniqueness Rule allows you to define the contact information attributes that should be unique within CRM.COM. If more than one attributes is defined, then the combination of the fields must be unique within the system.

Uniqueness Rule is defined in the Contact Information Definition
Contact Person Validations
There are 5 available fields that may be used for creating an Information Uniqueness Rule for Contact persons
- Name
- ID Number
- Passport Number
- Social Security Number
- Related Organisational Unit
You can create various combinations using these fields. Below are some examples of Rules you could set up
- Option A: If Name, Social Security Number, ID Number are specified then no other contact information should exist with the same Name, Social Security Number, ID Number values
- Option B: If only Name, Social Security Number, are specified then no other contact information should exist with the same Name, Social Security Number values
- Option C: If only Name is specified then no other contact information should exist with the same Name value
- Option D: If only Name, ID Number are specified then no other contact information should exist with the same Name, ID Number values
Contact Company Validations
There are 2 available fields that may be used for creating an Information Uniqueness Rule for Contact Companies
- Name
- VAT Registration Number
You can create 3 combinations using these fields. Below are some examples of Rules you could set up
- Option A: If Name and VAT Registration Number are specified then no other contact information should exist with the same Name and VAT Registration Number
- Option B: If only Name is specified then no other contact information should exist with the same Name.
Option C: If only VAT Registration Number is specified then no other contact information should exist with the same VAT Registration Number
