Learn to set up Usage Service Catalogs related business processes and rules. 

 Mandatory Configuration: Links to manuals of Usage Service Catalogs configuration modules that are required for the module to work correctly.

 Related Configuration: Links to manuals of configuration modules other than of Usage Service Catalogs that offer additional functionality or are required for the module to work correctly.

 Optional Configuration: Links to manuals of Usage Service Catalogs configuration modules that offer additional functionality but are not required for the module to work correctly.

Mandatory Configuration

The following modules must be configured in order to use the Usage Service Catalogs:

Related Configuration

The following modules are related to but are not a part of, Usage Service Catalogs. Such entities either:

  • Must be configured accordingly in order to be able to start using the Usage Service Catalogs module (Configuration Type = Mandatory) 
    OR 
  • May be configured to use the Usage Service Catalogs module at its full capacity (Configuration Type = Optional)

Product TypesOnly Products of Type 'Usage Services' can be added to Usage Service Catalogs. Product Types and Products must be set up in the System before Catalogs are created.Mandatory
Provisioning Providers

There are multiple manuals for setting up Provisioning Providers (one for every CAS/OTT integration). Use the following as an example:

Provisioning Providers are third-party systems with which CRM.COM integrated, and are used to provide Services to subscribers such as Video Content, Telephony or games.
Usage Services (primarily, VOD and PPV), are added on Usage Service Catalogs and are supplied through specific providers.
On creating a Usage Service Catalog, the Provisioning Provider for which the Catalog will be available has to be selected.

UDR TypeConfiguring UDR TypesUDR Types are used to classify and group UDRs based on their business application. 
Can be used as conditions for Tiered Rates in Usage Service Catalog Definitions.

UDR Usage MethodConfiguring UDR Usage MethodsUDR Usage Methods are used to identify the method in which the Service was used (e.g. rental or download).
Can be used as conditions for Tiered Rates in Usage Service Catalog Definitions.

UDR DevicesConfiguring UDR DevicesUDR Devices are used to identify the device on which the UDR will be provisioned.
Can be used as conditions for Tiered Rates in Usage Service Catalog Definitions.

UDR Source CategoryConfiguring UDR Source CategoriesUDR Source Categories are used to classify the UDR source that initiated the Service, into generic groups based on specific shared attributes.
Can be used as conditions for Tiered Rates in Usage Service Catalog Definitions.

UDR Destination CategoryConfiguring UDR Destination CategoriesUDR Destination Categories are used to classify the UDR destination that received the Service, into generic groups based on specific shared attributes.

Optional Configuration

The following entities are available and can be configured under Usage Service Catalogs.  A working CRM.COM model can exist without them being configured.
