System Processing
On submitting the request, a resource request is created. The applicable Life Cycle States of the request are:
- Pending: This means that the resource is requested but not delegated, i.e. Does not affect Resource Availability
Confirmation is required for new requests - Accepted: This means that the resource requested is also delegated on the specific activity. i.e. Affects the Resource Availability
No confirmation is required for new requests
The Life Cycle State to be set on the requests is based in the Configuring Resource Scheduling Definitions where you can select to require confirmation or not.
If confirmation is not required then then the submitted resource request is automatically accepted. In that case the requested resource plan entry is automatically reserved.
If confirmation is required then the submitted resource request is set to pending. Manual processes exist to accept, reject or cancel submitted Resource Requests.
