FOUNDATION APPLICATION > UTILITIES > INTEGRATE USING PENTAHO

Using the Data Export using Pentaho tool

CRM.COM allows the user to export data in a bulk via exports. The data is exported in a file type that is predefined, and is automatically generated from the system.
 

APPLICABLE UP TO R8

  1. Navigate to FOUNDATION > UTILITIES > INTEGRATE USING PENTAHO
  2. Under Exports section:
    EXPORT WITH PENTAHO
    1. Navigate to the name of import you would like to export, for example Export Commissions
    2. Click on the Run 
      1. A new browser window opens
      2. Click START and define the parameters based on the export you want to do.
        Note that NOT all exports have parameters
      3. Click START EXPORT
    3. Navigate to the required export set
    4. Click on the drill down Completed
      1. "Successful" rows are added under 'Successful' drill down
      2. "Erroneous" rows are added under 'Errors' drill down

  3. According to the Export Transformation, the Export File is saved in a specified location on the server

 

 

Export Tip

In order to find out the type of the file that each Export is going to produce you can check the Name of the Kettle Instance under the Completed Drill Down.

  • Export_Commissions.xls.ktr : Excel File will be exported
  • Export_Commissions.xml.ktr: XML File will be exported
  • Export_Commissions.txt.ktr: Text File will be exported

AVAILABLE FROM CRM.COM R9.0.0

  1. Navigate to FOUNDATION > UTILITIES > INTEGRATE USING PENTAHO

  2. Go to the module of your interest
  3. Find the Export kettle you would like to run and click on it
    1. The export details will open in a new tab
    2. Provide the required parameters (for each export kettle different parameters are required (if any at all)
      1. Click on Start to execute the export directly
      2. Click on Close to close the page and go back to the main page
        EXPORT KETTLE
  4. Once the kettle is executed results are made available in the main page
    1. Click on View Results next to the executed export to get a list of all the instances that the export has been executed, as well as the successful and erroneous records from each run.

EXPORT RUN RESULTS

Only successful and erroneous records that are defined in the kettle (when created) as to be logged will be shown. If nothing is defined as to be logged then no information will be available under Successful or Error drill-downs
