Using Customer Events

Customer Events are either financial or marketing events performed by customers and registered within CRM.COM to be rewarded or additionally processed by other functions of CRM.COM. Different Types of Events are available, and all can be accessed through the Customer Events module.

  • Navigate to Customer Events and explore existing records via the Summary page
  • Click on the link (name or number) of the record of your interest to enter the Data Entry page and see more detail.
  • Use the Actions Menu to create a NEW Customer Event and select the Customer Event Type from the drop-down menu.
  • Use BACK to return to the Summary page and CANCEL to revert any unwanted changes made to the Customer Events.
  • Click on ACTIONS to discover other possibilities available for Customer Events.
  • Click on the Audit Trail button to view a log of changes effected on the Customer Events under examination.

Note

Customer Events are directly linked to /wiki/spaces/WIP/pages/10008608. When a Customer Event is saved, if there are  Reward Offers related to the specific Customer Event Type present in the system, then the System will trigger the Reward Process to award the customer.
The awarding takes place either immediately if the Customer Event is set to PROCESS IMMEDIATELY, or once the Rewards Run is executed.
Note that all Customer Event Types are used for awarding the customer, with the exception of the Spend Request Customer Event which is used to redeem awarded points.

Refer to the relevant page in the manual for a comprehensive description of each Type's Customer Events fields.  Check the Validations & Restrictions Table for a list of available Actions when working with Customer Events including each Action's related restrictions, validations, and additional information.  The respective table indicates which Reward Offers is associated with each Customer Event Type.
