Move Installed Items Between Subscriptions
  • Both source and target subscriptions are owned by the same accounts receivable owner
  • The target subscription should be owned by an active accounts receivable
  • The target subscription should have an effective billing term instance
  • For the source subscription
    • If the subscription is Effective then
      • The rules defined in the active subscription definitions are not violated
        • Subscription restrictions are not violated
        • Subscription service restrictions and dependencies are not violated
        • Subscription service per distributor restrictions and dependencies are not violated
        • Subscription installed item restrictions and dependencies are not violated
        • Subscription installed item per distributor restrictions and dependencies are not violated
  • For the target subscription
    • The rules defined in the related subscription type are not violated
      • The subscription installed items are included in the subscription type allowed subscription installed items
      • The subscription provisioning distributors are included in the subscription type allowed provisioning distributors
    • If the subscription is already Effective 
      • The rules defined in the active subscription definitions are not violated are not violated 
        • Subscription installed item restrictions and dependencies are not violated
        • Subscription installed item per distributor restrictions and dependencies are not violated

  • The action is available only if the subscription has one of the following Life Cycle States:
    • Draft
    • Effective
    • Not Effective
    • In Resting
    • Regretted
    • Cancelled
    • Short Term Effective
    • Short Term Not Effective
  • The action is not available if:
    • There are no other subscriptions related to the same account
    • There exist no available Installed Items on the subscription

 

Executing Move Installed Items Between Subscriptions

  1. Navigate to BILLING APPLICATION > BILLING > SUBSCRIPTIONS > MANAGE SUBSCRIPTIONS
  2. Search for the Subscription you are looking for, using the criteria section
  3. Click on the Subscription number to go to the Data Entry page of the subscription
  4. On the left hand side of the screen you can see the ACTION PANEL
  5. Click on Subscription Installed Items Related Actions  to expand 
  6. Find the action you would like to execute and click on the link to open the action details in a modal window
    MOVE INSTALLED ITEMS BETWEEN SUBSCRIPTIONS 
  7. Check the box next to the Item that you woild like to move
    1. New Subscription No.: Search for a subscription that belongs to the same account
    2. New Distributors: Click on the link to open Select Provisioning Distributors modal, in order to select the Distributor(s) that the installed Item will be distributed from 
      (Multiple Distributors can be selected)
      1. Click on ENABLE next to the distributor you would like to add
        The distributor added will be shown on the right pane of the modal window with the action Enable next to it
      2. Click on DESABLE  DISABLE next to the distributor you would like to remove
        The distributor will be removed from the right pane of the modal window
      3. Click on SAVE

    1. Subscription Installed Items to Be Removed

      See the installed items that will be removed from the subscription, including information on which subscription they will be moved and to which distributors 

  9. SUBSCRIPTION ACTION DETAILS

    1. Classifications: Select Action Classification, which essentially is the business classification code for actions that for the same behavior code have multiple business classification

    2. Action Type: Select action type from the drop down if you have configured custom actions in the system, using the specific behaviour code
    3. Sub Action Type: Select action type from the drop down if you have configured custom actions in the system, using the specific business classification code
      Classification, Action Type and Sub Action type are visible only if applicable
    4. Performed By User : Search and add the user that logs the action 
      If you leave empty then the Logged in user will be set
    5. Performed Date: Click on the calendar icon and select date and time

  10. Click on "SUBMIT"
    Action will be validated as provided in the section above and submitted if validations are passed

Once the action is submitted the following changes will be carried out by the system:

  • Specified installed item is removed from source subscription
  • The distribution of the specified installed item and its related provisioning distributors are removed from the source subscription

  • Specified installed item is added to the target subscription
  • Related provisioning distributors, are added to the target subscription, if they do not already exist
     
  • The specified installed item is distributed to its related provisioning distributor on the target subscription
  • The installed item history is updated by specifying the source subscription and the subscription to which the installed item is moved to.
