When to use Amend Bundle Services

Use Amend Bundle Services to: Services when you would like to change the services/channels included in a flexible product bundle service.

Amend Bundle Services
  • The subscription and subscription services are in a valid life cycle state
  • The subscription bundle service composition is not violated
  • The subscription service dependencies are not violated
  • The subscription bundle service is not scheduled to be removed or swapped before or after the period that the component will be added
  • The action is available only for subscriptions that have at least one service of type Flexible Bundle already
  • The action is available only if the subscription has one of the following Life Cycle States:
    • All
      • Draft
      Effective
      Not
      • Effective
    • In Resting
    • Regretted
    • Cancelled
    • Short Term ffective
      Short Term
      • Not Effective

     

     

     
 

Executing Amend Bundle Services

  1. Navigate to BILLING APPLICATION > BILLING > SUBSCRIPTIONS > MANAGE SUBSCRIPTIONS
  2. Search for the Subscription you are looking for, using the criteria section
  3. Click on the Subscription number to go to the Data Entry page of the subscription
  4. On the left hand side of the screen you can see the ACTION PANEL
  5. Click on Subscription Service Related Actions OR Subscription Installed Items Related Actions OR Subscription Related Actions to expand 
  6. Find the action you would like to execute and click on the link to open the action details in a modal windowIf required check the following sections for information 
  7. EXISTING SUBSCRIPTION SERVICES

    1.  Provides an overview of the existing subscription services 

  8. EXISTING SUBSCRIPTION INSTALLED ITEMS

    1. Provides an overview of the existing subscription installed items

  9. UNSETTLED BILLS

    Provides an overview of any Bills related to the subscription and have not yet been settled

  10. MANDATORY & OPTIONAL SERVICE

    1. Components: Click on MODIFY to open the SELECT COMPONENTS modal to add components

    2. Click on View Product Bundle Components (Optional)
      A modal will open with the configuration set up and allowed options for the specific bundle as defined in the Products (this is only informative)

    3. Go to the Filters tab and search using:
      1. Product
      2. Product Type
      3. Product Family
        The available products that will be retrieved from the search will only be the ones that are allowed
    4. Click on SELECT 
       
      The product will be added in the components section
    5. If you would like to remove the product from the components list go to the PREVIEW & ACTION PANEL where the component is added and click on REMOVE

    6. Repeat for all the product you would like to add
    7. Click on SAVE to close the modal
  1. SUBSCRIPTION ACTION DETAILS

    1. Classifications: Select Action Classification, which essentially is the business classification code for actions that for the same behavior code have multiple business classification

    2. Action Type: Select action type from the drop down if you have configured custom actions in the system, using the specific behaviour code
    3. Sub Action Type: Select action type from the drop down if you have configured custom actions in the system, using the specific business classification code
      Classification, Action Type and Sub Action type are visible only if applicable
    4. Performed By User : Search and add the user that logs the action 
      If you leave empty then the Logged in user will be set
    5. Performed Date: Click on the calendar icon and select date and time

      If the Subscription Action is related to ACTIVATION of a service, then the Performed Date can be set in the past and billing will start the billing of the service(s) based on the Performed date. Even though date can be set in the past, it must be after the service was added on the subscription as Draft

  2. Click on "SUBMIT"
    Action will be validated as provided in the section above and submitted if validations are passed

Once the action is submitted the following changes will be carried out by the system:

  • Adds or removes the specified subscription service components
  • Adds or removes the distribution of the specified subscription service components and their related provisioning distributors
  • For removed subscription service components
    • Removes provisioning distributors if there are no other subscription services or installed items distributed on them
    • Sets the subscription service life cycle state history to removed 
  • For added subscription service components
    • Sets the subscription service life cycle state history equal to the life cycle state history that the bundled service will have during the period that the component will be added
