Navigating to Reward Offers

REWARDS APPLICATION > REWARDS > REWARDS OFFERS

What are Reward Offers?

Reward offers are used to define an amount of money that will be awarded based on customer events, and/or the conditions specified on each reward offer. Reward offers also define the spend conditions such as on what products and to which organisational units the cashback can be spend. There exist various types of Reward Offers that you can set up in the system, each one offering you different award and spend conditions. According to the type selected the related Rewards Award and Spend conditions will be loaded.

  • Navigate to Reward Offers  and explore existing records via the Summary page
  • Click on the link (name or number) of the record of your interest to enter the Data Entry page and see more detail. 
  • Use the Actions Menu to create a NEW Reward Offers modify (EDIT) or DELETE an existing one. 
  • Use PRINTOUTS (if available) to extract or email information related to Reward Offers  to the customer. 
  • Use BACK to return to the Summary page and CANCEL to revert any unwanted changes made to the Reward Offers . 
  • Click on ACTIONS to discover other possibilities available for Reward Offers .
  • Click on the Audit Trail button to view a log of changes done on the Reward Offer you are looking at.

Check the Validations & Restrictions Table for a list of available Actions when working with Reward Offers  including each Action's related validations and additional information of its system process.

  • All mandatory information must be provided
  • Multiple reward offers can exist in the system, but each one should have a unique name and alternative code. 
  • The type of the reward offer must be included in the list of allowed reward offer types as defined in the active rewards definition
  • The category of the reward offer is included in the list of allowed categories as defined in the reward offer type that was selected on the reward offer
Save
  • The life cycle state of a reward offer can be effective or not effective. Only effective reward offers can be offered to rewards participants. By default new reward offers are created as not effective, therefore are not immediately available to rewards participants
  • Not Applicable

  • All mandatory fields must be provided

Delete
  • Reward offers cannot be deleted if  any award or spend reward transaction already exists.
  • Any award or spend reward transaction should not already exists from the specific offer

Set as Effective/Not Effective

 

  • Not applicable
  • On changing rewards offer from Not Effective to Effective then the date that the life cycle state change was applied is set as the rewards offer last effective date

 

Additional Actions for Reward Offers

Changing Life Cycle State 

Life Cycle State of a Reward Offer, can be changed from Effective to Not Effective and vice versa, in order to control when the specific reward will be used for awarding. Life Cycle State can be set using an action which is available via the Data Entry Page 

  1. Navigate to the Reward Offer you would like to change the life cycle state
  2. Search for the offer you would like to update
  3. Click on the record you would like to change its life cycle state, to access its Data Entry Page
    1.  From the Action Menu click on ACTIONS > SET AS EFFECTIVE OR SET AS NOT EFFECTIVE depending on its current state
  4.  The life cycle state is automatically updated to Effective / Not Effective respectively given that the validations are satisfied.
