CRM.COM offers a pre-built contact app that can be branded by the business and published on the App Store and Play Store for their contacts to use. The app includes various features and functionalities, many of which can be enabled or disabled from the CRM.COM back-end system by the business user.

Preparing the app for publishing requires following a procedure, and this document will walk you through the whole process step-by-step. The business user can complete some of the steps, and others need to be managed by CRM.COM.

Step 1 -

Set up the Contact App in CRM.COM

Set up your Contact app via the CRM.COM back-end. This step includes:

  • Branding your app by uploading images, specifying colours, embedded browser links etc.

  • Enabling the CRM.COM features your contacts will access when self-managing their account through your mobile app.

Step 2 - Request

Once you 're satisfied with your have completed your mobile app's configuration, the next step is to notify CRM.COM that you're ready to publish the app. Click click the Request to Publish button on your the app's data screen to do this. We will need some more information from you to help us build your app and forward it to you for review. You can send the below to support@crm.com:

  1. A splash screen, this is the animation displayed on the screen while the app is loading and will appear only for a few seconds - Appears when the app is launched, and before the main content is loaded. It typically includes your business logo, app name, or branding image, and helps to set a tone or style for the app experience right from the start. If you're unable to provide a splash screen immediately, the CRM.COM team will use a default splash screen will be used, which one that can be replaced later. However, replacing it later on will require rebuilding the app and could incur additional costs.

  2. For the iOS version of the app:

    1. Provide the following iCloud email for a maximum of 2 devices:

      The phone's UDID (instructions provided below)

    3. Download the TestFlight app on your iPhone.

    4. You will receive an email invitation to review your app on , which you can download from TestFlight.

  3. For Android phones, no the Android version of the app:

Steps to Obtain the UDID for iOS:

  1. Open https://get.udid.io/ in Safari on your iPhone.

  2. Click the green button labelled Tap to find UDID.

  3. In the pop-up, click Allow.

  4. Once the profile is downloaded, click Close on the confirmation pop-up.

  5. Go to your phone's Settings.

  6. Tap on Profile Downloaded.

  7. Click the Install button at the top right of the screen.

  8. Safari will automatically open and display the UDID number

Step 3 - Review the App

You will receive an Android and an iOS version of the app, as well as an iOS version (if you've provided one or more UDIDs)your mobile app to review before submitting it to stores. This is a great opportunity to revisit the application for you to:

  • Manage and enhance your app with additional CRM.COM features. Simply set up or update these features via the back-end system and witness how they impact the app’s content and functionality. For example, review how your product images appear, highlight Reward Offers as Featured offers to boost your offerings, and more.
