What

are Leads  Definitions

are Lead Definitions?

Leads definitions is Lead Definitions are a set of business rules used to control the behavior of Leads  throughout their whole life cycle.

A Lead Definition is a set of business rules which are used in order to create and maintain Leads throughout their whole life cycle. 

Creating, Editing & Deleting

behaviour of Leads throughout their Life Cycle.

Lead Definitions can be edited, deleted and have their Life Cycle State changed.

  • Navigate to Lead Definitions and explore existing entries via the Summary page
  • Click on the link (Name or Number) of the record of your interest to access the Data Entry page and see more detail.

  • Use the Actions Menu to create a NEW Definition, modify (EDIT), or DELETE an existing one.  

  • Use BACK to return to the Summary page and CANCEL to revert any unwanted changes made to the Definition.

Name

Description

Main Information
 NumberAn auto-generated number that uniquely identifies the Lead Definitions.
 Name*The name of the definitionDefinition.
Alternative codeCode*An alternative code for the definition. On creating a new definition it should default to the first letter of each word included in the name (in Capitals), if nothing else is specifiedDefinition. Unless otherwise specified, the codes for new Definitions default to the Definition's Name initials in capital letters.
DescriptionA description for of the definitionDefinition.
State*The state of the definition Definition which can be active or inactive'Active' or 'Inactive'. Only one active definition 'Active' Definition can exist at any pointa time.

Defines which of the pre-configured Lead types Types can be used for creating a new Lead.

Automatic Conversion
Enable Automatic Conversion

Enables the Automatic Conversion from Lead to Customer, i.e. a new Accounts Receivable will be created if the Lead is

Check box determining if the automatic conversion is enabled or not

If enabled then the following need to be configured. If nothing is specified then the values are taken from the active accounts receivable definition:

  • Accounts Receivable Classification
  • Credit Rating
Supported Preferences
Supported Importance Levels*

They define a list of importance levels which should be supported by the system and the label that should be used for each level. The levels are selected from a predefined list which can be supported by the software and include the following:

  • IMPORTANCE1
  • IMPORTANCE2
  • IMPORTANCE3
  • IMPORTANCE4
  • IMPORTANCE5
  • CUSTOM1
  • CUSTOM2
  • CUSTOM3

Levels which should be loaded and displayed automatically can be specified by setting them as “Supported"

A default level should and must be selected.

Supported Priority Levels*

They define a list of Priority levels which should be supported by the system and the label that should be used for each level. The levels are selected from a predefined list which can be supported by the software and include the following:

  • PRIORITY1
  • PRIORITY2
  • PRIORITY3
  • CUSTOM1
  • CUSTOM2
  • CUSTOM3

Levels which should be loaded and displayed automatically can be specified by setting them as “Supported"

A default level should and must be selected.

Supported CompetitorsA table list that you can define the Competitors which should be supported by the system. The Competitors can be defined by providing a name and optionally a website and a description
Supported Lost Reasons*They define a

set to a Status of Life Cycle State 'Won' and no Accounts Receivable was set during the Lead's creation. If the Automatic Conversion is enabled then the following fields are available and mandatory:

  • Account Classification*: The Account Classification that will be automatically applied on the new Accounts Receivable.
  • Credit Rating*: The Credit Rating that will be automatically applied on the new Accounts Receivable.

Priority Levels

The Levels that can be used while creating and maintaining a Lead. To be able to use the Priority Levels, you have to set them as 'Supported' using the related check box.

Priority Levels set on Leads can help during the planning phase as Leads with higher Priority are processed sooner.

It is mandatory to specify a default Priority Level, and it is possible to provide a label for each of the available Levels to match the company's business needs. The Levels available for selection are predefined in the System and include the following:

  • PRIORITY1
  • PRIORITY2
  • PRIORITY3
  • PRIORITY4
  • PRIORITY5
  • PRIORITY6
  • PRIORITY7
  • PRIORITY8
  • PRIORITY9
  • PRIORITY10
Importance
Importance Levels

A list of Levels that can be used while creating and maintaining a Lead. To be able to use the Importance Levels, you have to set them as 'Supported' using the related check box.

Importance Levels set on Leads can help identify the critical ones so that agents give them special attention during processing.

It is mandatory to specify a default Importance Level, and it is possible to provide a label for each of the available Levels to match the company's business needs. The Levels available for selection are predefined in the System and include the following:

  • IMPORTANCE1
  • IMPORTANCE2
  • IMPORTANCE3
  • IMPORTANCE4
  • IMPORTANCE5
  • CUSTOM1
  • CUSTOM2
  • CUSTOM3
Competitors
CompetitorsDefines a list of the company's possible Competitors that may reach the same Lead for same Products or Goals.
Lost Reasons
Lost ReasonsDefines a list of Lost Reasons which should be supported by the systemSystem. The Lost reasons can be configured by providing the name and specifying which are supported by the software

Source Type*

They define a list of Source types to hold the source through which the lead was introduced or proposed Reasons must be provided once a Lead is set to a 'Lost' Life Cycle State.

Source Types

Defines a list of Source Types that may introduce or propose possible Leads to the company. Lead sources Sources are predefined in the system and not configurable, but they can be overridden by specifying a different label. The following lead sources System and cannot be configured. It is possible to provide a label for each of the available Source Types, so that it matches the company's needs. The following Lead Source Types are supported:

  • Advertisement

  • Navigate to PATH
     
  • Either search for an existing one or from the Top Menu click on NEW
