What is Platform?
Platform is used to provide the ability to configure attributes of the software which are related with system functionality rather than business rules.

Configuring Countries
| The list of countries which can be used across CRM.COM software is configurable and is part of CRM.COM regional settings. Once the Country and Code are configured then whenever the specified country is selected throughout the system, the related code will also be automatically applied on the entity (if applicable). The default country to be used throughout the system is specified in the General Settings which are also a part of Platform. | ||||||
Configuring Currencies | The list of currencies which can be used across CRM.COM software is configurable and is part of CRM.COM regional settings. The default currency to be used throughout the system is specified in the General Settings which are also a part of Platform. | ||||||
Glossary Translation | CRM.COM software can be translated in multiple languages and all screens can be displayed in the language that is selected by the organisation or by each individual user. | ||||||
Configuring VAT Rates | VAT rates are used to define the various VAT rates that can be used across the software. Each VAT rate can include more than one rates which are applicable for different period of times. Overlapping periods are not allowed. | ||||||
Configuring General Settings | General settings are used to provide information about the system and also to set up system settings and restrictions which are applied across the software, either through UI or Web API. General settings are mandatory and if not configured then only super users can access the software. | ||||||
Configuring Formatting Settings | Formatting Settings are used to define how numbers and dates should be formatted within CRM.COM. Formatting settings are configurable and are available as part of the Admin Settings. Formatting settings are mandatory and if not configured then only super users can access the software.

Configuring Numbering Schemes | Numbering schemes are used to control and maintain the various sequences which are used by the system to automatically generate the numbers that identify various entities in CRM.COM. The numbering schemes are predefined by the system, and new ones cannot be created. All available numbering schemes can be configured to modify the format of each number, by specifying the prefix of the number and the number of the numerical digits that the generated number should have. | ||||||
Viewing CRM.COM License
| License is used to display the license information within CRM.COM. The license details are kept in the Ecenter in the organisation group entity | ||||||
Using Melissa Address Registry
| Melissa Data provides an Address Registry which provides search and verification of addresses from all over the world. CRM.COM integrates with Melissa Data in order to facilitate users to register correct addresses within the software. This integration is performed either dynamically while users type in an address or manually when users request for an address verification. In both cases, Melissa Data provides the required address information through Web API calls sent by CRM.COM. Via Platform you can set up the Address Registry Settings and the system will automatically apply them wherever address are being used in the system.
