Overview

Kounta is a cloud based POS system with which CRM.COM has integrated with in order to handle rewards based on purchases logged in Kounta.

Through Kounta you can capture sales executed on the POS and handle awards and spends of the participant. For example, while making a new sale on Kounta, available awards of the customer can be automatically redeemed; i.e. deducted from the amount they must pay


Setting Up Kounta 

To start using Kounta, setup is required both in CRM.COM and Kounta

Set up Kounta


Set up profile and products

  1. Go to Kounta Website www.kounta.com and login or sign up for a new account

  2. From the left menu click on the Company icon 
    1. Provide your company information
  3. From the left menu click on the Products icon 
    1. Provide the products to be sold through Kounta

Create a CRM.COM add-on

  1. From the left menu click on Add on icon
  2. Click on create a new Add-On 
  3. Provide all related information as shown bellow (based on the already configured "CRM.COM R&D" Add-On)

Set up CRM.COM


In order for Kounta to work the following must be configured in CRM.COM

These settings are required to authenticate CRM.COM and communicate with Kounta

  1. Navigate to Kounta
  2. Provide the following information in the Kounta settings

    A CRM.COM User that will be logged for all transactions in CRM.COM executed through Kounta

    The Unit of the User
    Note

    The Unit must be configured as a Rewards Merchant (partner)

    This Unit should be also the default Unit of the User

    As set in Kounta

    Authorisation URL

    As provided by Kounta

    As provided by Kounta and add ".json" at the end

  3. SAVE the settings 
  4. From the Actions Menu click on Actions > Authorise which will transfer you to Kounta page
    1. Choose the company to be accessed if more than one are configured
    2. Click on Grant Access 

      Note

      Ensure that pop-ups are not blocked and that you are already logged in Kounta


  5. You will receive the message 'Access Granted' and now you are ready to start using Kounta

In addition to the Kounta specific settings the following must be configured for Kounta to operate.

  • Products Create the products which will be sold in Kounta
    • POST products/synchronise can be used to synchronize products information in CRM.COM with products information that exists in a 3rd party system
    • The association between Kounta and CRM.COM product is applied by setting the Kounta product's id as the CRM.COM product's alternative code
      • Kounta product's id can be found on the product URL (after accessing the related product's data screen
  • Contact Information It is mandatory that at least 1 email address is defined in the system for the customers which will be retrieved in Kounta
  • Customer Events  Processing Rules The 'Spend Request Customer Events' rules must be set accordingly. For example, the option 'Reject Spend Requests If the Requested Spend Amount is Not Covered' should not be selected as if the amount is not covered the customer can pay manually
  • Rewards
    • Reward Participating Merchants: In the Rewards Participating Merchants the option to 'Allow Automatic Awards Spending' in the Spend rules should be disabled and the Reduction Method set to 'Front-End Reduction'. The unit used in the configuration settings of Kounta in CRM.COM must be created as a Rewards Merchant
    • Reward Offers: In the reward offers participating in the program the Spend method must not be set to 'Spend Instantly'.

      Reward Participants: Reward participants participating in the program should not be allowed to automatically spend the awards. Setting is available in the Automatic Awards Spending Authorisation section

  • Access TokenAccess token of rewards participants should have as authentication code the email address

Using Kounta

  1. Login to Kounta - https://www.kounta.com/
  2. Click on the POS icon 
  3. Select the POS you want to login to
  4. Select the user  (i.e. the counter person)
    1. Select George.
  5. Provide Password 1111
  6. Select and add products to Kounta basket
  7. Once you finish withe with the products you must add to the basket click on Add Customer icon 
  8. You can search for the customer using his Access Token 'Authentication Code'
    1. If the customer has been retrieved in the past then he can be found also by using email address, name or phone number
      1. Once you find the contact click on his icon to select
    2. If the contact is not local (i.e. has never before been retrieved in Kounta)
      1. Provide authentication code
      2. Click on CRM.COM icon to search in CRM.COM
      3. Click to select the contact
  9. Once the contact is retrieved you can see his total Wallet Balance
  10. Click on 'Pay with CRM.COM Rewards'
    1. Kounta will then provide the total allowed discount for the bought products including any cashback from the current purchase. 
    2. Click on Save 
      Once you save the purchase, the money will be deducted from the owner's wallet.
    3. Click on Check-out and select one of the available Fast Cash options
