What are Jobs Categories?

Job categories are used to classify jobs into generic groups based on specific similar attributes that they share. Job categories are following a hierarchical tree structure.

General 
  • Multiple Job categories can exist in the system but each one should have a unique name and alternative code.
  • The allowed Job categories are specified on the Job types. 
Delete
  • Job categories cannot be deleted if they are already used by Jobs which:
    • Are still not completed 
      or 
    • If they are included in the list of allowed categories in one of the available Job types.
  • Deleted Jobs categories are still visible on Jobs which were created using those categories
