What are Activity Categories?

Activity categories are used to classify activities into generic groups based on specific similar attributes that they share. Activity categories are following a hierarchical tree structure.

General 
  • Multiple activity categories can exist in the system but each one should have a unique name and alternative code.
  • The allowed activity categories are specified on the activity types. 
Delete
  • Activity categories cannot be deleted if they are already used by activities which:
    • Are still not completed
      or 
    • If they are included in the list of allowed categories in one of the available activity types.
  • Deleted activity categories are still visible on activities which were created using those categories.
