Self-Service API – designed for implementation of Contact facing experiences such as Mobile Apps or Web based portals. These API’s are designed to operate using a single contact (customer) and are authenticated on that basis. Once a contact is authenticated a self service token is generated that is used to give access to processes and data for that contact only.
External platforms such as OTT platforms or subscription and retail platforms that want to develop or have their own front end portal or app but prefer to use the CRM.COM contact registration and authentication should use the CRM.COM self service APIs to get a token and on success issue (swap) their own token as well for access to their own APIs.
